Emma Guzowski (née Bartlett) is a freelance translator, interpreter, and tutor. She holds a BA in French from Haverford College, an MA in French from Middlebury College, and an MA in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and French from The Ohio State University where she was also a French lecturer. Guzowski has executed hundreds of French-to-English and English-to-French translations in various genres, including but not limited to: birth certificates, marriage certificates, adoption papers, legal service agreements, medical PowerPoints, Earth Science documents, poetry, job appointment letters, recommendation letters, university transcripts, university course descriptions, and video scripts. She has also performed on-site verbal translations of documents and has done professional voice-over work for the media industry. Guzowski also has years of experience teaching French formally and working in the private tutoring sector, where she serves clients ranging from beginner to advanced.
